Frequently Asked Questions

Let us teach you about pet insurance

What is pet insurance?

Doggo helps you pay for unexpected veterinary expenses due to accidents or illnesses. So, if your pet gets injured or becomes ill, Doggo helps pick up the bill.

Why do you need pet insurance?

Do you know, every six seconds, a pet parent is faced with a vet bill for $3,000? i And one in three dogs will need unexpected veterinary care each year. i When your pet is sick or injured, Doggo pet insurance helps provide peace of mind, so you worry less about expensive vet bills.

How much does pet insurance cost? And how does Doggo price its dog protection plans?

Your premium is based on your dog’s age, breed, and where you live. Your premium also varies based on how you set your deductible, reimbursement rate, and maximum annual payout. We want you to have a plan that fits your needs! We do not have different pricing based on gender or spayed/neutered status.

Who qualifies for Doggo insurance?

We will insure any dog that is at least 8 weeks old, with no upper age limits. We think every dog deserves insurance! We also cover cats!

Where can I use my Doggo insurance?

You may visit any licensed veterinarian in the US, Puerto Rico, or Canada. We know how important it is to be able to be able to go to your pup’s regular vet or a specialist for emergencies.
